Gel Polish - Heartbreaker, 10 ml

Heartbreaker Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a very dark cherry with a cool black-burgundy undertone and full coverage in two coats. A near-black cherry for the deepest evening nails.

The black-burgundy undertone takes the cherry so dark that it reads as black in low light and only shows its colour under direct light. It comes in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Heartbreaker over a cured base and seal it with a top coat.

Use it for

How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Heartbreaker in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my gel polish have visible brush strokes?
Usually the coat is too thick or the brush keeps going back over it. Apply Heartbreaker in two thin coats and let the self-levelling texture settle before you cure. On a shade this dark every stroke shows, so work in one direction, from the cuticle to the free edge.

How is Heartbreaker different from Masquerade?
Both are very dark cherries with full coverage in two coats. Heartbreaker has a cool black-burgundy undertone and reads almost black, while Masquerade adds fine gold glitter for an evening sparkle.

Does a very dark colour need a white base underneath?
No. The dense dark pigment covers the nail plate on its own, and a light base only helps with levelling. What matters is two thin coats rather than one thick one, otherwise the lower layer may not cure all the way through.
