Marigold Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a clear base with glitter in apricot tones. Made to be layered over a colour coat.

With a clear base, Marigold works as a decorative layer: the apricot glitter sits on top of your chosen colour without altering it. It is supplied in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply it over a cured colour coat and seal it with a top coat.

How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Marigold in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove glitter gel without damaging my nails?
File off the top coat and most of the Marigold layer before soaking. Glitter slows the remover down, so give it time and lift the softened product gently with a pusher. Never scrape at glitter that has not softened: it takes the top layers of the nail with it.

How is Marigold different from Get Rich?
Get Rich is gold glitter in a coloured base and is worn on its own. Marigold has a clear base and is made to go over another colour.

How do I apply Marigold so the glitter sits evenly?
Roll the bottle between your palms and pick up product from the bottom. Dab the glitter on rather than stroking it, because the particles follow the brush. The first coat gives a light scatter, the second makes it denser. Over a dark colour the apricot glitter shows more than over a light one.
