Gel Polish - Carols, 10 ml

Carols Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a neutral black with silver flash particles, fully opaque in two coats. A black that lights up for evening looks.

Silver particles on a black base give the strongest contrast: in diffused light the coating reads as an even black, under direct light it flashes silver. It comes in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Carols over a cured base and seal it with a top coat.

How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Carols in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my top coat wrinkle over the colour?
Usually because the top coat went on too thick, or the colour underneath was not fully cured. Cure each coat of Carols separately, then apply the top coat in a thin, even layer and cure it for the full time.

How is Carols different from Spotlight?
Spotlight is a black with dense glitter and a cool greenish undertone, Carols a neutral black with reflective particles. Spotlight sparkles all the time, while Carols flashes only under direct light.

Is black harder to apply evenly?
Yes, black shows every bump and brush mark. Two thin coats of Carols instead of one heavy one help, and so does working in one direction, from the cuticle to the free edge. Roll the bottle between your palms rather than shaking it, so no bubbles get in.
