How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Black King in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

How do I apply black gel polish without it looking bumpy?
Use two thin coats instead of one thick one and cure each coat separately. Do not press the brush into the nail: Black King is self-levelling, so the product flattens out on its own. A level, cured base underneath matters too, because black shows every bump in the surface below.

How is Black King different from White Queen?
They are a pair from the same line: both opaque, both with a neutral undertone, both covering in two coats. Nail techs often buy them together for contrast designs and French tips, for example a White Queen smile line on a black nail.

Which nail length suits a black manicure?
Black looks its best on short to medium nails in a soft square, oval or almond shape. On long, pointed nails it reads as far more dramatic. To soften it, try a matte top coat or a thin gold accent on one nail.
