Modern Flat Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a violet with a neutral undertone. Two coats cover the nail completely, ready for everyday single-colour nails.
This dense, neutral violet covers the nail plate in two thin coats with no coloured base underneath. It comes in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Modern Flat over a cured base and seal it with a top coat.

How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Modern Flat in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Should I file the nail before or after applying gel?
Before. File the nail to its final length and shape during prep, then cap the free edge with base, colour and top coat so the seal is complete. Filing a finished Modern Flat manicure opens that edge, and water can then get under the coating.
How is Modern Flat different from Shopping Time?
Shopping Time is a deep violet with a cool purple undertone. Modern Flat has a neutral undertone and is made for everyday wear, so Shopping Time is the deeper and cooler of the two. Both cover fully in two coats.
Do I need a light base under Modern Flat?
No. Modern Flat is opaque and covers the nail plate fully in two thin coats over any cured base, clear or cover. A light base only matters when you paint a violet French and want the contrast.
