How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Milk Chocolate in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Is it better to do two thin coats or one thick coat?
Two thin coats, each cured separately. A thick coat is harder to cure all the way through and more likely to wrinkle or streak. Milk Chocolate is opaque and gives full coverage in exactly two thin coats.
How is Milk Chocolate different from Dark Coffee?
Both are warm browns with a grey note. Dark Coffee is the deeper of the two, a dark coffee brown, while Milk Chocolate is lighter and softer.
Does brown show regrowth more than nude?
Yes. Any shade that contrasts with the nail bed makes the regrowth line visible sooner than a nude does. On short nails it is much less noticeable.
Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
