Gel Polish - Loka, 10 ml

Loka Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a semi-sheer shade with opalescent flecks that reaches its final look in two coats. The flecks give a pearly shift on the nail.

The opalescent particles in the semi-sheer base create a pearly shift, with the natural colour of the nail showing through. It comes in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Loka over a cured base and seal it with a top coat.

How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Loka in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wear only base and top coat without colour?
Yes, and Loka gives you a step between that and full colour. Worn on its own over a prepared nail, it adds a pearly shift on top of the natural nail tone while staying semi-sheer. Over a colour the effect becomes more contrasting.

How is Loka different from Liki?
Liki also has a semi-sheer base with opalescent flecks, but its flecks are pink and give a warm shift. Loka reads more neutral.

Is Loka suitable for a bridal manicure?
Yes, that is one of its intended uses. The semi-sheer base and the opalescent shift keep the nails delicate, and two coats give the finished look.
