How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Maple Syrup in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Does gel polish survive being delivered in hot or freezing weather?
A short trip in the post is normally fine. Leave the parcel to come up to room temperature before you open it, then roll the Maple Syrup bottle gently between your palms to remix the pigment. Shaking it hard only traps air bubbles.
How is Maple Syrup different from Persimmon?
Both are warm shades. Persimmon is a saturated orange, while Maple Syrup is a rich amber that reads close to honey.
What goes well with Maple Syrup?
Browns are the easiest partner: wear Maple Syrup on one or two nails next to a brown, or the other way round. On its own it makes a warm single colour for autumn hands and feet.
Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
