How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Amaro in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Does gel polish stop nails growing?
No. Nails grow from the matrix under the cuticle, and a coating on the surface does not change that. Damage comes from aggressive removal and missed appointments, not from wearing a shade like Amaro for months with careful, regular re-application.
How is Amaro different from Nero?
Nero has a bronze undertone, Amaro a reddish one. Both are dark browns with shimmer, so the difference lies in the warm lean.
Where does Amaro look its best?
In the light, where the reddish shimmer opens up. It suits autumn and winter manicures and works well as a dark accent next to a nude.
