Gel Polish - Aphrodisiac, 10 ml

Aphrodisiac Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a rich red with a warm orange lean. Two coats give solid colour for manicures and pedicures alike.

The orange undertone makes the red more vivid and slightly lighter than a classic red, so it sits well on warm and tanned skin. Supplied in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Aphrodisiac over a cured base and finish with a top coat.

How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Aphrodisiac in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Which direction should I stroke the brush?
From the cuticle area towards the free edge, one pass per section of the nail. On a saturated red like Aphrodisiac, going back over a coat that has started to settle leaves visible tracks, so place each stroke once and let the self-levelling texture smooth it out.

What is the difference between Aphrodisiac and Red Lipstick?
Both are warm reds with an orange undertone and full coverage in two coats. The difference is intensity: Aphrodisiac is a rich, saturated red, while Red Lipstick is a bright one, so side by side Red Lipstick reads lighter and more vivid.

Will Aphrodisiac stain my nails?
Not if there is a full base layer underneath, because the pigment never touches the nail plate. A yellowish tint after red shades appears when the base went on too thinly or was skipped altogether, and it grows out with the nail.
