How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Espoir in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
What is the sticky layer after curing and should I wipe it off?
Only at the very end. The tacky film left after curing helps the next layer grip, so between the base, the coats of Espoir and the top coat you leave it alone. Once the final top coat is cured, remove it with a lint-free wipe soaked in cleanser so the gloss lasts.
How is Espoir different from Pastel Wonders?
Pastel Wonders is a grey-beige with a neutral undertone. Espoir has a cool undertone, so it looks cooler on the nail.
Is Espoir a good base for a French?
Yes. Its cool grey-beige gives a restrained base for a French and suits a strict office dress code. Cure it fully before you paint the smile line.
