How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Hot Chili in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
How long should I cure each layer of gel polish?
Give each coat of Hot Chili 60-120 sec in an LED lamp or 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Lamps differ in power and LED layout, so stick to the times that work on your own lamp and cure one coat at a time.
How is Hot Chili different from Red Lipstick?
Hot Chili is the lighter red and carries gold flecks in its base. Red Lipstick is an even, bright red with a warm orange undertone and no particles. The difference shows most clearly under direct light.
Do the gold flecks make Hot Chili harder to remove?
Less than a solid glitter would, because the flecks are spaced out. You still need to file off the top coat before soaking: without that step the remover cannot get through, and removal takes about twice as long.
