How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Lilac Lullaby in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Is HEMA-free gel weaker or less adhesive?
Not in itself. Lilac Lullaby is HEMA-free and Di-HEMA-free, and how well it holds depends mostly on prep and on what goes under the base. A bond or Ultrabond forms a thin adhesive layer, while a primer acts on the nail surface itself, so choose by what the nail needs.
How is Lilac Lullaby different from Minnie?
Both are fuchsias with a cool purple undertone. Minnie contains neon pigment, so it is brighter and needs a light base underneath; Lilac Lullaby is a fuchsia without neon.
Is Lilac Lullaby actually a lilac?
No, despite the name. Lilac Lullaby is a fuchsia with a cool purple undertone, so on the nail it reads as a deep, cool fuchsia rather than a pale lilac.
