How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Silky Touch in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
What is the single best way to protect my nails while wearing gel?
Wear rubber gloves for washing up and cleaning. Hot water and detergents soften the edge of the coating and slowly work in under the free edge. A pair of gloves keeps Silky Touch looking neat for noticeably longer.
How is Silky Touch different from Classic Nude?
Classic Nude is a semi-sheer beige nude with a warm undertone. Silky Touch is a light beige-pink with a warm undertone, so it shows more pink.
Is Silky Touch suitable for a baby boomer?
Yes. A light beige-pink close to the nail bed is a natural base for a French or a baby boomer gradient. Cure it fully before you blend the white towards the free edge.
Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
