How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Tender Tides in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the cap of my gel polish stick shut?
Gel has set in the screw thread. Before you close Tender Tides, clean the rim of the bottle and the inside of the lid with a lint-free wipe and cleanser, and press the excess off the brush. Never leave the bottle standing open by the lamp.
How is Tender Tides different from Stardust?
Both are grey-lilacs with a cool undertone. Stardust adds pearl shimmer that comes forward in direct light, while Tender Tides is the lighter of the two.
Is Tender Tides suitable for an office dress code?
Yes. The grey mutes the lilac into a smoky, neutral shade that reads as calm rather than colourful, which suits a strict dress code and minimalist designs alike.
