How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Vanilla Drift in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Gloss or matte: which lasts better?
Gloss keeps its look longer. A matte top coat naturally polishes up where there is friction, on the free edge and the fingertips, so it turns shiny there first. Over Vanilla Drift, a thin layer of matte top and no rich creams on the nails help the effect last.
How is Vanilla Drift different from Charming?
Charming is a milky white with a neutral undertone. Vanilla Drift is warmer and more beige.
Is Vanilla Drift a good choice for bridal nails?
Yes. A warm milky beige looks soft and natural with a wedding outfit, and it also works as the base for a French or a baby boomer. The warm undertone keeps it from looking icy.
