How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Venusian in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
What aftercare advice should technicians give gel clients?
Gloves for cleaning and washing up come first: chlorine, alkaline cleaners and solvents slowly eat into the top coat, dull the shine and make the edge brittle. Add daily cuticle oil, and ask clients to come back rather than pick at a lifting edge, so a Venusian set keeps its glow.
How is Venusian different from Wish Star?
Both are warm, with pearl shimmer. Wish Star is a golden beige, while Venusian has a pink element, so it reads rosier.
Is Venusian a good choice for bridal nails?
Yes. A pink-beige with a warm undertone and pearl shimmer gives a natural finish with a soft inner glow, which is why bridal and festive manicures are among its uses. It also works as a base for a French.
