How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Violet Vision in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
My nails feel thin and bendy after gel removal. Is that permanent?
No, but it will not fix itself overnight either. Thinness and white spots after removal come from overdrying or from peeling the coating off; no product repairs them, they grow out with the nail. Until then, limit contact with solvents and use oil every day before the next Violet Vision set.
How is Violet Vision different from Happy?
Both are violets with a cool undertone. Happy is the saturated one, so next to it Violet Vision looks less intense.
Does Violet Vision work for a French?
Yes. A violet French over a light base is one of its uses: the cool violet tip stands out cleanly against the pale nail.
