How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Jingle Bell in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Is a gel pedicure worth it in winter?
Yes. A festive silver like Jingle Bell works just as well on toes as on fingers, and a cured coating keeps the nails tidy under winter footwear. Cap the free edge on the big toe with care, as it takes the most pressure from shoes.
How is Jingle Bell different from Bow Wow?
The silver base with a cool undertone is the same; the difference is in the particles. Jingle Bell has silver ones and gives an even metallic flash, Bow Wow opalescent ones with a pearly shift.
Does silver show regrowth a lot?
Noticeably, like any shade that contrasts with the nail bed. On short nails the line shows less, but a partial infill of the regrowth area does not work with Jingle Bell because of the metallic shine.
Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
