How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Rainbow Unicorn in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the gel on my thumbs always fail first?
Thumbs take the most pressure, sit awkwardly in the lamp and often end up with a thicker coat. Cure them on their own, flat to the light, and pick up the same amount of Rainbow Unicorn on the brush as for the other nails so the coat stays thin.
How is Rainbow Unicorn different from Toxic Love?
Toxic Love is a muted pink with a greyish-pink undertone. Rainbow Unicorn is a clean pink with a neutral undertone, so it looks clearer. Both cover fully in two coats.
Can I wear Rainbow Unicorn on hands and feet together?
Yes, it works well for a matching manicure and pedicure. A neutral pink looks the same in daylight and artificial light, so hands and feet stay consistent.
Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
