How to apply

  1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
  2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
  3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
  4. Apply Poison Girl in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
  5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
  6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to buff the nail before gel polish?
Yes, lightly, and then remove every trace of dust. Dust left on the plate sits between the nail and the base, so the base cannot bond. Brush first, then wipe the whole plate, sidewalls and cuticle area with cleanser before you apply the base and Poison Girl.

How is Poison Girl different from Beautiful?
Beautiful is a pale pink with a cool lilac undertone. Poison Girl is simply cool, without the lilac note.

Is Poison Girl a good base for a French?
Yes, that is one of its uses. Because the cool undertone keeps the pink clean, with no peachy cast, it gives a fresh, delicate background for the smile line.
