How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Cave in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
How long does gel polish last in the bottle?
Go by the PAO symbol on the packaging: the open jar with a number shows how many months the product keeps once opened. Store Cave upright and tightly closed, in the dark and at room temperature.
How is Cave different from Gargamel?
Gargamel is a dark grey with a cool graphite undertone, Cave a lighter grey with a neutral one. Side by side, Gargamel looks deeper and Cave calmer.
Does grey go with any outfit?
A neutral grey such as Cave is one of the most versatile shades: it has no undertone to clash with the colour of your clothes. You control the contrast through lightness rather than through the colour itself.
Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
