Daintree Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a light grey-lilac on the cool side. A restrained shade for everyday wear.

How to apply

  1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
  2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
  3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
  4. Apply Daintree in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
  5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
  6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Does cuticle oil make gel polish lift?
No. Once Daintree is sealed and cured, a daily drop of oil simply keeps the skin around the nail soft. The time to avoid oil is during prep: any left on the plate under the base stops it bonding properly.

How is Daintree different from Lokum?
Lokum is a pastel grey with a cool undertone. Daintree adds a lilac note to the grey, so it reads as a smoky lilac rather than a pure grey.

Why does a sponge gradient over Daintree look grainy?
The sponge leaves tiny pores that show through the top coat. Seal them with a thin layer of clear base or top, curing in between, and dab the sponge on lightly instead of pressing it.

Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
