Gel Polish - Holly, 10 ml

Holly Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a cool-leaning carmine red that is fully opaque after two coats. A classic red with a cool edge.

The cool undertone keeps the carmine from sliding towards orange and gives it more depth. Supplied in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Holly over a cured base and seal it with a top coat.

How to apply

1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
4. Apply Holly in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth buying gel colours in bulk?
There is no fixed number, so plan stock in months of use rather than in bottles. Buying in bulk only pays off when a batch is used up in about three months. A classic red such as Holly is a sensible core shade, and base and top coat are the first products worth buying in volume.

How is Holly different from Iconique Rouge?
Both are cool reds with full coverage in two coats. Holly is a carmine red, while Iconique Rouge has a cool berry-red undertone. Holly reads more berry-like, Iconique Rouge closer to a classic red.

Will a cool red clash with warm skin?
No. On warm skin Holly looks more contrasting than a warm red would, but it does not clash. For a more natural result on warm skin, a red with an orange undertone is the softer option.
