How to apply
- Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
- Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
- Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
- Apply Princess Hitomi in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
- Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
- Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.
Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.
Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I do not like the colour once it is cured?
Either soak it off and start again, or file off the shine and paint the new shade on top. With a muted shade like Princess Hitomi, look at the result in daylight before the top coat goes on, while a change is still quick.
How is Princess Hitomi different from Toxic Love?
Toxic Love is a muted pink with a greyish-pink undertone. Princess Hitomi has a warm terracotta lean, so it looks more earthy.
Can Princess Hitomi be used for a French?
Yes, as a base for a French in a warm palette. Its muted terracotta pink sits well under a light tip and keeps the whole manicure calm.
