Vice Gel Polish, 10 ml by ReformA is a very dark brown with a warm undertone. The darkest brown in the palette, for deep single-colour manicures and pedicures.

On the nail it reads almost as black and only reveals its brown base in the light. It comes in a 10 ml bottle with a brush. Apply Vice over a cured base and seal it with a top coat.

How to apply

  1. Prep the cuticle area with Cuticle Remover: apply a small amount to the cuticle, gently push it back with an orange stick or a pusher and lift off the pterygium.
  2. Prep the nail plate: degrease it with a cleanser such as Cleanser, then dehydrate it with Nail Prep. Duo Prep covers both steps in one product. Then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion to the nail plate. The primer needs no curing, it air-dries.
  3. Apply Rubber Base or Base Coat in one thin layer and cure.
  4. Apply Vice in one or two thin coats, curing each coat.
  5. Finish with a top coat and cure according to its instructions.
  6. Wait at least 60 seconds after curing the top coat before applying cuticle oil, so the top coat keeps its shine.

Gel polish curing time: 60-120 sec in an LED lamp, 30-60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. Curing time depends on the power of the lamp and its LEDs, so check it separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

What is the inhibition layer and why does it exist?
It is the tacky layer left on many bases and top coats after curing, caused by contact with oxygen, and it is normal. Undercuring looks different: cloudy, soft product that drags and dents under an orange stick. On a dark shade like Vice undercuring is hardest to spot, so cure each coat separately.

How is Vice different from a black?
Vice is a brown, just a very dark one: it reads almost black on the nail and shows its brown base in the light. If you need a true black, choose Black King.

Can I do a dark French with Vice?
Yes. A very dark brown tip over a light cover base gives a softer alternative to a black French. Keep the line thin and cure Vice before sealing the whole nail with a top coat.

Colours on screen can look different from the real shade: monitor calibration and display settings both affect it. If you are unsure about a shade, get in touch and we will show you the actual colour.
