Gel Polish Petal, 10 ml by ReformA is a delicate pink nude with a warm undertone and full coverage. A base under French and a nude manicure in its own right.

The warm pink nude lays down evenly and closes the plate in two thin coats. A 10 ml bottle with a brush. It goes on over a cured base coat and is sealed with a top coat. Petal belongs to the BLOSSOM collection together with Tulip, Iris, Nectar and Cat Eye Clear White.

How to apply

  1. Do the manicure with a cuticle remover: place a drop on the cuticle, push it back and take off the pterygium.
  2. Degrease the plate with Nail Prep, then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion. The primer is not cured, it flashes off in the air.
  3. Apply a base coat in two thin layers and cure.
  4. Apply the first coat of Petal. Keep the hand in the air and do not touch the underside of the free edge with the brush. Cure.
  5. Apply the second coat to full coverage and cure.
  6. Seal the coating with a top coat and cure.
  7. Apply cuticle oil no earlier than 30 seconds after the top coat is cured.

Curing time: 60...120 sec in an LED lamp, 30...60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. The time depends on the power of the lamp and on the diodes themselves, and has to be checked separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right nude for my skin tone?
Match the undertone first and the depth second: a nude about half a shade lighter or darker than the hand reads as a manicure, while an exact match flattens the nail. Petal is warm and pink, so it sits naturally on warm and neutral hands. On a cool hand the neutral Tulip is the closer call.

How is Petal different from Tulip?
Petal is deeper and clearly warm, Tulip is lighter, dustier and neutral in undertone. Under a French smile line Petal reads as colour, Tulip barely registers. Both close the plate in two coats.

How many coats of Petal do I need for an even colour?
Two thin coats, each cured separately. The first evens out the colour, the second brings it to full coverage. Nothing more is needed: the shade is opaque and reaches its own colour in exactly two coats. One thick coat instead of two thin ones leaves streaks and takes longer to cure.

The colour on screen may differ from the real shade of the product: monitor calibration and the display modes you have switched on both affect it. If you have any doubt about the shade, get in touch and we will show you the colour in person.
