Gel Polish Tulip, 10 ml by ReformA is a dusty pink nude with a neutral undertone and full coverage. A soft ground under French and a quiet single-colour manicure.

A pink with no shift into warm or cool, which is why it works on fair and on deeper hands alike. A 10 ml bottle with a brush. It goes on over a cured base coat and is sealed with a top coat. Tulip belongs to the BLOSSOM collection together with Petal, Iris, Nectar and Cat Eye Clear White.

Use it for

  • A French base where the ground has to stay invisible.
  • A quiet single-colour manicure for work and study.
  • A ground under nail art that does not compete with the design.
  • More skin-toned shades in the nude gel polish section, French materials here.

How to apply

  1. Do the manicure with a cuticle remover: place a drop on the cuticle, push it back and take off the pterygium.
  2. Degrease the plate with Nail Prep, then apply Ultrabond Primer for better adhesion. The primer is not cured, it flashes off in the air.
  3. Apply a base coat in two thin layers and cure.
  4. Apply the first coat of Tulip. Keep the hand in the air and do not touch the underside of the free edge with the brush. Cure.
  5. Apply the second coat to full coverage and cure.
  6. Seal the coating with a top coat and cure.
  7. Apply cuticle oil no earlier than 30 seconds after the top coat is cured.

Curing time: 60...120 sec in an LED lamp, 30...60 sec in a 48 W dual LED lamp. The time depends on the power of the lamp and on the diodes themselves, and has to be checked separately for each product.

Frequently asked questions

Is a gel French or a nude gel manicure more versatile?
A nude, because it never dates and it hides regrowth better, while a French puts a line exactly where the first wear shows. Tulip covers both jobs: worn alone it is a nude, and under a smile line it becomes the ground without arguing with the white.

How is Tulip different from Petal?
Tulip is lighter and quieter, with a neutral undertone. Petal is deeper and warm. If the French has to be barely there, take Tulip. If the ground under the smile line should read as colour, take Petal.

Is Tulip a good base for a French?
Yes, that is its main job. The coverage evens out the colour of the plate in two coats, and a dusty pink does not compete with a white smile line or muddy its edge. Draw the line once the second coat is cured and the ground has its final look.

The colour on screen may differ from the real shade of the product: monitor calibration and the display modes you have switched on both affect it. If you have any doubt about the shade, get in touch and we will show you the colour in person.
